Go Zero, the UK’s specialist in EV charging for hotels and leisure destinations, has announced a major step forward in its mission to make destination charging the norm across the UK.
Following the successful securing of a £100 million debt financing facility, Go Zero has partnered with Rolec to deliver scalable, guest-friendly charging infrastructure that helps hotels and leisure operators install EV charging without the burden of upfront capital costs.
Powering the hospitality sector with EV charging
Today, 90% of EV drivers actively choose destinations with chargepoints, yet just 6% of city hotels in the UK currently offer EV charging. With more than 1.3 million electric vehicles already on UK roads and almost 40% of new car registrations now plug-in models, EV charging is no longer an optional extra. It’s a fundamental part of the guest experience.
Go Zero’s VendEx model makes it possible for hotels, resorts, and leisure venues to install multi-bay EV hubs at no cost, generating new revenue streams and meeting growing guest demand for convenience and sustainability.
A partnership built for scale
Go Zero’s national rollout will be supported by Rolec’s UK-manufactured hardware and installer network, ensuring fast, reliable installation and long-term technical support. The partnership brings together Go Zero’s sector expertise, proprietary CPO software, and commitment to guest-focused service with Rolec’s proven product range and UK production capability.
Together, this collaboration enables large-scale delivery of both AC and DC charging solutions for hotels, caravan and holiday parks, shopping centres, stadiums, and other leisure destinations. Several projects have already gone live, with many more due to follow over the coming months.
Leading the charge in hospitality
Andy Taylor, CEO of Go Zero, commented:
“Securing this £100M debt facility marks a defining moment for Go Zero. It gives us the financial power to accelerate our rollout, deliver our existing project pipeline, and expand rapidly across the UK’s hospitality landscape. Partnering with Rolec strengthens our mission to make destination charging accessible, reliable, and profitable for our partners. Together, we’re bringing our vision of 10,000 sockets across the UK closer to reality.”
Darren North, National Sales Manager at Rolec, added:
“Destination charging is vital to the UK’s net zero future. By combining Go Zero’s investment and hospitality expertise with our UK-built hardware and installer network, we’re helping operators embrace EV charging with confidence and no upfront cost. It’s a win for guests, businesses, and local communities alike.”
Powering progress
As demand for EV charging continues to grow, Go Zero is leading the charge in making it easy for the hospitality sector to adapt, attract, and thrive. This partnership represents not just a milestone in Go Zero’s growth, but a major step toward a future where every destination is EV-ready.
