with our EVHub, your guests can charge ahead

Through our proprietary software and network, you can offer your guests the convenience of booking their hotel electric charging slot alongside their room reservation, making it easier than ever to secure hotel EV charging during their stay.

This eliminates range anxiety for EV drivers and allows them to fully enjoy your hotel’s chargers without the hassle of searching for external chargers upon arrival.

ev charging is no longer optional

Every week, more guests are switching to electric vehicles – particularly business travellers and professionals booking online. Hotel search platforms like Booking.com, Trivago and Google Maps now allow guests to filter by EV charging facilities. If you’re not offering it, your property may not even appear in search results. That means missed bookings, lower occupancy,  and a growing gap between what guests expect and what’s actually on offer.

what our customers say

At voco Reading, guests can reserve charging when they book a room. The hotel offers 12 onsite charging bays, with go zero smart monitoring.

"Our guests expect the best and we always strive to meet and exceed their expectations. EV charging is a growing requirement, so it wouldn't make sense to ignore that demand. It's a facility that we now realise we couldn't live without."

FAQs

Why should my hotel invest in EV charging now?

EV ownership is growing rapidly in the UK, and guests increasingly expect charging facilities when choosing where to stay. Offering Go Zero chargers positions your hotel as forward-thinking, sustainable, and guest-focused — helping you attract high-value business and leisure travellers, while futureproofing your facilities.

Do I need planning permission to install EV chargers?
Most installations don’t require planning permission, but certain sites (e.g. listed buildings, conservation areas) may have restrictions. We’ll advise you during your free site survey and handle any applications if needed.

Can I generate additional revenue from EV charging?
Yes. You can set charging fees that cover your costs and generate profit. Many hotels also attract more bookings simply by offering chargers, which boosts occupancy and revenue indirectly.

How do I know how many chargers my hotel needs?
We assess your guest demographics, parking capacity, and growth in EV ownership. For some hotels, two chargers are enough initially, while others may require a bank of chargers to meet demand.
